Halfway to Halloween: What Is It and Idea's to Celebrate This Fun Holiday!

What is Halfway to Halloween?

It's the 6 month or halfway point in the year before Halloween. It's kind of like "Christmas in July" for Christmas.

When is Halfway to Halloween?

Halfway to Halloween is usually April 30th or May 1st.

Some Fun Ideas on How to Celebrate Halfway to Halloween:

1. Decorate

Put out a few Halloween decorations. Your neighbors might think you've lost your marbles, but remind them it's halfway to Halloween and it's worth celebrating more than once a year! Need to freshen up your Halloween decor? Check out our in stock Halloween decorations HERE

2. Make it smell like Halloween

Dig out that pumpkin spice candle or make this easy stove top potpourri recipe:

  • 2 cups apple cider or apple juice {you could always use water too}
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 an apple or dried apple slices

3. Bake some Halloween delights

What says Halloween and fall more than FOOD?! I don't know about you, but from September until January I'm baking and eating my way through the months! A fun activity your kids will love....bake and decorate some Halloween sugar cookies. Or add pumpkin to anything and everything: a little pinch of pumpkin pie seasoning to your coffee in the morning, bake some pumpkin cookies, or how about a pumpkin loaf or muffins? 4. Crank Some Halloween Music

We know you already have that Halloween playlist from last year, so crank it up! I mean nothing says Halloween more than Thriller, the Monster Mash, and Disney's Grim Grinning Ghosts!

5. Have a Halloween Movie Marathon:

Make a big bowl of popcorn, turn the lights down low and cuddle up to a Halloween movie marathon! Here's a few Halloween themed movie suggestions:

Kid Friendly (or the Kids at heart) Movies Available on Disney+: Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Nightmare Before Christmas, FrankenWeenie, The Haunted Mansion, Toy Story of Terror, and Mickey's house of villains.
